The Africa Platform does not have to worry about this. We focus on The Social Contract, the foundation of any Governance or Democratic Agenda. We work discreetly, building relations that bring change rather than relying on big branding to push for change. The society and country actors in the places we work are the ones who decide the form of social contract building process they want. And they are the ones who create the coalitions that advance this agenda. They even decide who we should work with. If they need activists , we will help them identify and strengthen their capacity, power and voice. If they want local NGOs, we help them get the best change actors. If they need a global Platform, we take them their. IF we cant we will ensure their voice reaches these platforms. We seek independent funding that is not tied to any project or any specific delivery that is not decided by community. And we do not spend the money….the society does.
