The United Nations remains the greatest achievement of the collective aspirations of global citizenry.
But not even the United Nations as an institution has powers that surpass that of the people who set it up-global citizens. The United Nations and other Global Institutions owe it to the society to reflect what we collectively see as sustainable peace. The tendency to deal with governments, and not society make,s both the UN, governments and other institutions a power unto themselves.
Elections are not a transfer of power, they are the first steps to demanding it back.
We engage with the United Nations and other global institutions to retain the moral compass that is required to respond to the needs of global citizens wherever they are.
